The Girl Is A Mom

Fact: I love talking about my kids, they are super awesome.

Fact: I live in Boston.

Fact: I am a stay at home mom and writer.

Fact: When I love something, I tend to be extremely passionate and outspoken.

Fact: I have a lot of tattoos, I am not the general picture of Stay At Home Mom.

Fact: I love to talk.

Misconception: I love to talk about myself.

My daughters are Coraline, age 3 and Arya, age 10 months. I am so lucky to be able to spend everyday with these two amazing people, even though that means it is sometimes a struggle for our family to maintain that life. My daughters are hillarious and intelligent but could not be more different in personality. I love to talk about them, it comes easy. When I became a mother, I found my voice. I discovered that I do this parenting job really well (yes, I am tooting my own horn), I am a laid back parent who finds it comes naturally. Early on, I was helping other parents navigate the ropes and started writing about those things here. I have been told that my laid back attitude and complete honesty are not only shocking but refreshing, allowing people to actually trust me and my advice. I think of every reader I have as a friend.  I hate talking about myself or anything personal to me, like my marriage or post partum depression. Posts about myself are the hardest for me to write.  I am lucky to have an amazing extended family and incredible support system in my friends, not everyone has that but this blog is a good second place to feel accepted.
