Review/Giveaway: Toy Sitter

One day Coraline and I were on our way to playgroup when I got the most useful item in the mail. She was in her Ergo carrier and I checked the mail as we were going out the door, delighted to find an envelope containing the Toy Sitter. Since that moment the Toy Sitter has been the most used item that we have because it is just that great.

Handmade in the USA by TutimNYC, the Toy Sitter is one of those small things that you could easily brush off as totally useless. It looks very similar to their PaciSitter in that it is a fabric strap that with a snap loop at one end but there is a difference.  The Toy Sitter can make a small loop at one end allowing it to be “tied” onto everything, stroller, car seat, carrier, highchair, the possibilities are endless. The opposite end can be made into a similar loop allowing you to attach a simple toy to one end or better yet attach a more complicated toy to that end. This is where I find it tricky to explain exactly how wonderful and useful the Toy Sitter is. You may be thinking that it doesn’t sound all that useful or that you already use those little plastic rings to attach your child’s toys to the stroller. So, let me show you what I mean rather then babbling on and on while making little to no sense whatsoever.

And this my friends, is the Toy Sitter attached to Sophie the Giraffe. That’s right, Sophie the Giraffe, the best friend of many of our teething babies and toddlers. I can easily hang Sophie from the Ergo now and not have to worry about her getting dropped from the stroller.

The Toy Sitter comes in fun colors and prints that will coordinate with your stroller, diaper bag and carrier, if you like to match. Its machine washable which helps when little cookie hands touch everything.  I can not praise enough this simple but highly effective item. Every mama’s arsenal should include a Toy Sitter.
